Lā Ho’olako is a blended learning experience that is offered to all Ka ‘Ohā haumana (students). Keiki come together one day per week for fun, elective courses filled with exciting projects and place-based learning.
The day begins with an oli, followed by class time. Students in grades K-8 rotate through interest-based classes in flexible grade clusters (K-2, 3-5, 6-8). Classes vary by site and include exciting topics such as STEAM, Yoga, Art, Aloha ʻĀina, Cultural Geography, Environmental Science, Outdoor Games, Robotics and more.
Lā Ho’olako takes place on Hawai’i Island, O’ahu, Moloka’i and Kaua’i. Regular attendance is expected as students receive elective credit for classes held on Lā Ho’olako.
